Mr. Cohen Turner

Mr. Cohen Turner, age 86, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Blairsville, GA on September 19, 1933 a son of the late Jesse Turner and the late Ora Brown Turner. Mr. Turner had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart where he was a 1952 graduate of Rockmart High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a General Motors employee for 31 years and retired in 1982. Upon his retirement he enjoyed spending time at his farm located on Brasewll Mountain Road where you could find him most days working in the garden, bailing hay, bee keeping and various other activities. He enjoyed sitting under the shade trees and the company that would stop by to check on him. He was a kind and generous man who helped so many.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Cliff Turner and two sisters: Ercel Turner Davis Blair and Bernice Turner Payne.

Survivors include eleven nieces and nephews and their families.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Rose Hill Cemetery.
