Mr. Charles “Charlie” Witt, age 73, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020.
Charlie was born in St. Charles, Virginia to James Witt and Bert Gibson Witt. Charlie worked many years as a block mason. He operated an upholstery shop for many years as well. He was the person that could fix anything. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father, James Witt.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Garrison; mother, Bert Witt; sisters, Elizabeth Underwood and Jean Autry; brothers, JC Witt, Mark Witt and Bobby Witt. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Services to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Slaughter and Rev. Eddie Benefield officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines will apply and masks are recommended.
