Bobby D. Woods, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Polk Medical Center. He was born on October 25, 1943 in Rockmart, GA, the youngest of 4 children, to his late parents; Perry and Ottis Farmer Woods. Bobby worked for the United States Postal Service as a mechanic. Mr. Woods was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Beau Woods and 2 brothers: Melvin “Bill” Woods and Charles Woods.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Noland Woods of Rockmart, GA, 2 sons; Brent Woods and his wife, Mary Beth of Plains, KS, Brandon Woods and his wife, Nancy of Rockmart, GA, 5 grandchildren: Adeline Woods, Emmett Woods, Audy Woods, Cason Woods, and Ethan Woods, sister, Betty Sue Shedd of Rockmart, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby D. Woods will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jason Odom officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Brown Wright Post 12 American Legion Honor Guard providing military graveside rights. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Emmett Woods, Ethan Woods, Audy Woods, Cason Woods, Hal Wood, Ben Wood and Shane Ingram. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Roy Cagle, Ronald Lovell and Jack Ingram.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Rockmart First Baptist Church in loving memory of Mr. Woods.
