Jayden Johnson from Arkansas, Ty Floyd from LSU and CJ Culver from Mississippi State show support for students, school system

The number of sports figures and Polk School District alum who are joining their voices to a social media campaign for local schools from all across the SEC.

CHS alum Jayden Johnson – now playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks – joined his fellow alum Kobe Pace over at Clemson and in the ACC with a positive message for the #YOUMATTER campaign being promoted by the Polk School District as part of a larger effort to enforce positivity at every level of education since the start of the school year.

Along with the football players were a couple of guys better known for their time on the baseball diamond.

Rockmart High alum Ty Floyd and CJ Culver also sent in messages of encouragement from LSU and Mississippi State respectively.

They are just some of the high-profile former PSD athletes to join the campaign.

PSD has also heard from a former alum working at Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, and another as an atmospheric scientist in Huntsville, Alabama. They’ve also added messages from closer to home from Bartow County, to as far away as Indiana University.

One this is clear with the increasing participation of former alum: no matter where a Polk School District graduate is in the world, they matter.
