Melissa Elaine Anderson, age 43, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Melissa was born June 26, 1980, in Carrollton, Georgia, daughter of James Anderson and the late Karen Anderson.
Melissa spent the greater part of her life here in Cedartown, having been a graduate of Cedartown High School, Class of 1998. She was described as free spirited, intelligent, and creative. Melissa loved music, particularly rap and hip hop music. She could tell you all about her favorite artists’ entire careers.
Melissa frequently dreamed up new business ideas, coming up with catchy names right off the top of her head. She graduated from University of Alabama with a degree in marketing.
Melissa was full of life and was a great friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Melissa is survived by her father James “Jim” Anderson; her son, Madden Barnette; brother, Josh Anderson and his wife, Audrey; and aunt, Donna Hughes Gamble.
There are currently no formal services planned.
