Rockmart High School wrestlers were given a special treat at Knucklehead’s Cafe this past Thursday evening, thanks to the city’s Mayor and wife, to celebrate their big achievement in the 2020-21 season.
Mayor Sherman Ross and his wife Debbie treated the entire wrestling team for dinner on April 29 in honor of their state title win in Class AAA for wrestling as a team earlier in the year.
Dalvin Millhollan took the 163 lb state championship for his individual win, along with Garrett Pace took a state title as a freshman in the 113 lb weight class. Several others took second and third place spots to give the team enough to win a state title outright, just ahead of region foe Sonoraville.
