Mrs. Mary Evelyn Quinney, age 96, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Quinney was born in Cleveland, TN, on December 28, 1926, daughter of the late Shepherd Mosby and Mary Jane Mosby.
She had been a resident of Paulding County since 2008 and was a housewife and homemaker.
Mrs. Quinney enjoyed knitting and watching her television shows.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quinney was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Williams, and a brother, Joseph Mosby.
Mrs. Quinney is survived by a daughter, Cheryl “Debbie” Mosby of Rockmart, GA; three grandchildren, Roosevelt “Bernard” Johnson, Carla Mosby, and Hope Mosby; one great-granddaughter; niece, Brenda (Andrew) Johnson; nephew, Robert (Sheila) Mosby; cousins, Zandra (Alvin) Jackson, and Kay Woods. Several great-nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Quinney will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Roosevelt B. Johnson will bring remarks, Jerome Green will deliver the eulogy and Tina Green will have prayer. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Quinney’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
