The city announced their plans for a big celebration this year as the official sesquicentennial birthday for Rockmart coming up in August.

More details will be announced in the coming weeks and months as plans continue to come together, but the culmination of the 150th anniversary of Rockmart’s founding will be held on August 20 and feature an amazing birthday party.

August 20, 2022 officially marks Rockmart’s 150th anniversary—a sesquicentennial! Rockmart has big plans to celebrate.

There will be a lot to get excited about as plans are being made to incorporate the 150th theme into existing annual events and the official celebration on August 20th with a special birthday party including live music, activities, fireworks, food, and birthday cake.
