Mrs. Marjorie Laura Jackson Redding

Mrs. Marjorie Laura Jackson Redding, age 91 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

She was born on July 23, 1932 in Haralson County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dolvie Norris Jackson.

Mrs. Redding is survived by her sons, Carl E. Redding, Jr. and Carl Redding; daughters, Reba Betts (Jimmy) and Brenda Gilbert; sister, Barbara Hopkins (James); grandchildren, Tisha and Rusty Spann, Jonathan and Donna Redding, Carla Danko, Christen and George Coleman, Kerry Gilbert, Kyle Gilbert, Tonya Redding and Tad Redding; great-grandchildren, Seth Spann, Jacob Spann, Jesse and Mary Brown, Dylan Danko and Alyssa Moore; and great-great-grandchildren, Ellie, Benjamin, and Kimber.

Mrs. Redding is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl E. “Billy” Redding, Sr.; sisters, Kathryn Wood, Meralyn Smith and Myrtle Chandler, and brothers, Roland Jackson, Gary Jackson, Edward Jackson, Charles Jackson, and Lanorris Jackson.

The funeral service for Mrs. Marjorie Laura Jackson Redding will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at four o’clock in the afternoon at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Tucker and Rev. Teddy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with Rev. Randy Stephens officiating.

The family of Mrs. Redding will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from one o’clock in the afternoon at until three o’clock in the afternoon at Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: David Willingham, Greg Swafford, Tom McClure, Seth Spann, Jesse Brown, Jacob Spann, and Shane Smith.
