Dustin Clinton Jett

A Polk County Police report cited a 911 call that was disconnected and a woman screaming in the background as the basis for officers to arrive on the scene and take a man into custody in a domestic altercation on March 26.

Per police reports, Dustin Clinton Jett, 31, of 2990 Old Collard Valley Road, was arrested and remained in jail with no bond set on a felony charge of terroristic threats and acts along with misdemeanor charges of battery (family violence act) first offense and third degree cruelty to children following the March 26 incident at 4:29 p.m.

Jett is alleged to have gotten physical with the victim while children were present at the time.

The two officers who arrived reported that after the 911 dispatcher stated that “she could hear screaming in the background prior to the call being disconnected” that they “discovered the incident to be a Physical Domestic.”

Police stated in the report that physical and testimonial evidence concluded that Jett was the aggressor in the incident, and he was taken into custody without further incident.

The report also stated that there have been more than 10 complaints against Jett prior to this past Friday’s incident, but that no court orders were in place at this time.

He remained in the Polk County Jail as of time of this posting.
