City of Cedartown celebrates with annual Christmas Parade on Thursday night

Santa Claus arrived on Main Street on Thursday night at the tail end of this year’s Christmas Parade in downtown Cedartown, ushering in the season after one of the longest parade groups in recent years.

The city announced the winners of this year’s prizes following Thursday night’s event, noting that the top prize of $1,000 went to Church of God of the Union Assembly Sardis Road for the Christmas Star Award for 2023.

The Christmas Magic Award was the Youngs Grove Elementary School Chorus who took a $500 prize, a Christmas Spirit Award for $500 for Second Steps Dance Studio, and a Christmas Sparkle Award of $300 for The Wicked Sisters.
