When you wish upon a star, do you dream of being on the big stage? A group of local youth do, and they got a chance to enjoy time in recent days singing the Disney hits they love at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center.

The “Songs from the Castle” five-day camp at the CPAC was put together by McCall Pirkle and gave youth a chance to learn songs from classic Disney movies, enjoy some arts and crafts time and ended the day with a video recording of the songs selected from each different daily session.

Because of the COVID-19 guidelines the “Songs from the Castle” sessions replaced the 2020 Children’s Enrichment Summer Camp, which usually focuses on a single show and has a performance following.

The Cedartown Junior Service League provided sponsorship for this year’s camp.
