She might have to share her spot with several others, but one local artist has been recognized online as one of the top oil painters across the globe for 2020.

Her work “Disconnect” which is on a 30×40″ canvas sits in a fifth-place tie in a list posted on Medium provided by 25 different galleries.

Waters, originally from the United Kingdom but a resident of Rockmart for more than two decades, has been in past showings in Rockmart and Cedartown featuring sculpture work detailing the story of the Nativity that she has built over past years for the Rockmart United Methodist Church’s annual Christmas parade float.
