Note: The following release was provided by the Doug Sanders Golf Museum, a sponsor of Polk.Today. – KtE

The Doug Sanders Golf Museum is honored to announce its partnership with the Cedartown High School Girls and Boys Golf Teams.
As a non-profit supporter of the two teams, The Doug Sanders Golf Museum joined in partnership with the Cedarstream Company to provide uniforms, golf bags, and golf towels to the high school student athletes.

This support is the beginning of a strong partnership between the golf museum and local student golfers. The long-term goal for the museum will aim to continue sponsoring teams and ultimately provide individual students with scholarships to further their educational opportunities.

The museum will raise funds in a variety of ways throughout each year to provide these donations and scholarships. The first large fundraising push will be the First Annual Doug Sanders Charity Classic.

The Doug Sanders Charity classic will be held on May 7, 2021, at the Cherokee Golf and Country Club. Registration is set to begin at 8:00 and golfing will begin at 10:00. The classic will continue to accept sponsorships and team registrations through the month of April.
