Kayla Brooklynn Adams

Kayla Brooklynn Adams, age 28, of Rome, GA, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, graced this world on February 1st, 1996, in the vibrant city of Rome, GA. Her untimely departure on February 19th, 2024, from the same city has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Throughout her life’s journey, Kayla held various roles with grace and dedication. From her early days of pursuing education, earning her GED and undergoing CNA training, to her later pursuits in private sitting and managing roles at Waffle House and Family Dollar, Kayla exhibited unwavering commitment and a strong work ethic.

Kayla’s compassionate nature extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was known for being a “cleaning freak,” taking pride in creating pristine environments. Her love for the beach was no secret, as the tranquility of the sea held a special place in her heart.

Moreover, as a valued member of Access Church, Kayla found solace in faith and community. Her altruistic spirit shone through in always extending a helping hand to those around her.

The legacy Kayla leaves behind is one of love and devotion. She is survived by her adoring children, Kaden Allen, Ky’Mari Allen, and Brooklynn Robinson; her mother, Felicia LaCraie (Henry) Ledford; her father Jamie Adams; cherished sister Carleigh Savannah Adams; loving grandfather Ray (Sandra) Miles; affectionate grandmother Carla Adams; caring aunts Leigh (Levon) Ashford and Carlita Adams Pratt; supportive uncle Morgan (Ashley) Adams; as well as numerous other cousins, family members, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Kayla’s life will be held at Access Church, 1905 Calhoun Road, Rome, GA, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Chad Wilson, Jason Whitfield and her grandfather, Ray Miles officiating. A private interment will follow on Monday at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Pastor Oley Wilson officiating.

Kayla’s family will receive friends at Access Church on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. These services will provide an opportunity for all who knew Kayla to come together, share their memories, and find comfort in each other’s presence.

Pallbearers, or “Casket People” as Kayla herself called them, will include Clay Whitfield, Josh Couch, Morgan Adams, Tway Robinson, Quinton Allen, Crimson Brown, Tyde Brown, and Dakota Brown. Honorary pallbearers will include Kelsey Robinson, Emma Robinson, Molly Crider, Leigh Ashford, Carlita Pratt, Taylor Pratt, and Brittany Pope.

In the tapestry of life that Kayla Brooklynn Adams has woven during her time on Earth, she leaves behind threads of kindness, diligence, and love that will continue to inspire all who were touched by her warmth. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was truly cherished.

Kayla’s family would love to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the special people at Heyman Hospice for your care and concern in her final days. Also, a special debt of gratitude is owed to Kayla’s dear friend, Brittany Pope, for caring for her in her last weeks.
