Mr. James Willard Pyles

Mr. James Willard Pyles, age 65, passed away, Thursday, February 15, 2024. 

Mr. Pyles was born March 1, 1958, in Cedartown, Georgia, the son of the late Willard James Pyles and Mary Louise Pyles. 

Mr. Pyles was a very dynamic individual, gifted in many ways. By trade, he spent many years working in a rock quarry. He also devoted much time to being a pulpwooder and crafting his skills in woodworking.

He had a special knack for storytelling that made everyone want to listen. Mr. Pyles enjoyed many hobbies, such as playing horseshoes, tending his garden, and spending an afternoon on his motorcycle.

Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His presence in their lives was treasured and will be deeply missed. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pyles is preceded in death by twin children, Suzie Pyles and Jamie Pyles; sister, Joyce West; brother, William Pyles; grandparents; great-grandparents; aunt, Eloise Pyles; and uncle, Clarence Pyles. 

Mr. Pyles is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mrs. Ann Pyles; children: Jesse James Willard Pyles and his wife, Vicki, Johnathan Lee Bentley, Adam Michael Bentley and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren: Jessica Layne Adams and her husband, Hayden, Megan Bentley, Logan Nicole Abercrombie and her husband, Austin, Jazzy, Kyle, and DJ; and great-grandchildren, Emberlynn Claire, Bentley, Amelia, Bodie, and Blakely. Additionally, he is survived by siblings: Alvin Pyles, Cliff Pyles, Audrey Albright, Lorretta Baldwin, and Norma Jean Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends. 

No formal services are planned at this time.
