Jack’s should be ready to serve by September, per city

The new Jack’s that has been on the rise this summer on North Main Street in Cedartown is nearing completion, and Cedartown city administration reported on Monday evening that the restaurant should be open in September.

Cedartown City Manager Edward Guzman noted during his report to City Commissioners in their Monday meeting that the Jack’s at the corner of North Main Street and West Fairmount Avenue is expected to be open in September.

More specifically: “Jack’s hopes to be open in early September.”

Construction began with demolition of the old Family Dollar back in April. The foundations were completed by late May, and by the end of June the framing and roof were up at the forthcoming restaurant.

The September opening would complete the project in less than a year in after Jack’s asked for conditional use and got approval from the city commission back in January.

Jack’s offers a variety of items ranging from breakfast to dinner, with burgers, fried chicken and even desserts of all kind.

Immediately around Cedartown, locations are found in Rome, Tallapoosa, Piedmont, Centre, Jacksonville and Anniston. They began in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama and have a southern-focused theme.

They just opened locations in Northeast Georgia and Tennessee.
