Volunteers from Home Depot were out on Tuesday afternoon despite overcast weather to ensure that the Veterans Memorial in Cedartown is ready to go for Monday’s remembrance ceremony for Memorial Day.

The annual ceremony put on by American Legion Post #86 is coming up on Monday, May 29, with the event to start at 11 a.m.

Rockmart’s annual ceremony is also coming up this weekend. Vets from American Legion Post #12 in Rockmart are gathering on Sunday, May 28 at 2 p.m.

Also look for the Ray McKibben Memorial Day Service in Felton at the Baptist Church at 1 p.m.
