History museum hosts Story Time on Thursdays for youth

Youngsters gathered round in tiny chairs on Thursday morning to enjoy a few minutes of Story Time, part of an ongoing summer event series to bring more children into the museum while school is out for the next couple of months.

This week’s reading time saw children of all ages enjoying the event in the museum, and also gave them a chance for coloring next to the entrance to take home a Cheshire Cat mask.

The weekly Story Time for youth is meant for ages 3-9 and continues every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. through the end of July.

Younger and older children are welcome to attend as well.

Museum entry is free for youth, anyone accompanying them for Story Time will also get a free admission as well.

The museum is located at 117 West Ave., Cedartown, next door to the Post Office. Find out more about the Polk County Historical Society on their website.
