The family of Miranda George Morris suffered a tragic loss this weekend, and now friends are reaching out to show their support in a time of need all around.
Morris, who lost a battle with cancer over the weekend, left behind a husband and small children. She was the daughter of LeeAnn George, Polk County’s Election Director and a longtime employee with the county’s Board of Elections.
A fundraiser on GoFund.Me that will be used to help fund in the future education of George’s grandchildren was setup today in memory of Morris.
Those who are able to give are being asked to do so, and also leave a message of encouragement for LeeAnn during this time.
A Celebration of Life service for Morris are planned on Wednesday afternoon at Litesey Funeral Home starting at 4 p.m.
