Mrs. Frances Edna Cagle

Mrs. Frances Edna Cagle, age 95, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024.

Mrs. Cagle was born in Cedartown, GA, on March 13, 1929, daughter of the late Bud Williams and Callie Mae Harris Williams.  

She had lived the greatest part of her life in Taylorsville and was the oldest member of Floyd Creek Baptist Church.  Mrs. Cagle was a housewife and homemaker who was famous for her caramel cake.  

She always said, “I was blessed to see my children and grandchildren grow up. My fondest memories were living on my farm and having all four of my grandchildren live on the farm also.”

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Clinton Cagle, sister, Rachel Haynes, brother, Billy Williams, and granddaughter, Kristi Kirby.

Mrs. Cagle is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Robert) Abernathy, and Lynn Carlton; three grandchildren, Kevin Abernathy, Tracy Lee, and Todd Carlton; nine great-grandchildren, Bryce Abernathy, Kylie Abernathy, Cohen Wilbanks, Sam Wilbanks, Paxton Kirby, Jesse Lee, Jordan Lee, Ansley Robinson, and Austyn Robinson.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Cagle will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Harris officiating.

Mrs. Cagle’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m.
