Twenty nurse residents at Floyd Medical Center have completed an 8-Week Intensive Nurse Residency program.

The residents are nursing school graduates with less than 6 months experience who participated in ancillary and clinical opportunities throughout the hospital. Additionally, residents attended instructional classes covering a range of topics:

⦁ Work/life balance
⦁ Critical thinking skills
⦁ Conflict resolution
⦁ Effective communication strategies

Each participant also conducted an evidence-based nursing project focusing on best practices in the clinical setting.​​​​​​​

The 20 graduates are Hollie Angle, Caleb Brown, Karlee Combs, Jessica Easler, Julian “JJ” Golfer, Caden Haas, Kenley Hann, Haley Holder, Paschal Iloh, Stephanie Knight, Kayla Merritt, Molly Oakes, Stephanie Parris, Jennifer Ramsey, Morgan Richerson, Kara Smith, Neely Tello, Talyn Tuck, Katherine “Katie” Tushim and Torie Vines.
