Mrs. Faye Wheeler Mobbs

Mrs. Faye Wheeler Mobbs, age 89 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1934 in Rome. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Annie Mae Pledger Wheeler.

Mrs. Mobbs is survived by her husband, Marvin C. Mobbs; daughters, Donna Pointer (Sammy) and Jennifer Marie Cooper; son, Christopher Alan Mobbs (Michelle); sister, Betty Sue Mathis and Edith Sergent; brother, Frank Wheeler (Kay); grandchildren, Taylor Pointer, Jason Pointer, James Pointer, John Pointer, Shelby Pointer, Brayden Pointer, Tasha Oxenrider, Tina Sides, Christopher Mobbs, Jr., Clay Malcolm Mobbs, and Karaina Mobbs; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mobbs is preceded in death by her parents; son, Marvin Wayne Mobbs; sister, Shirley Ann Weights; grandchild, Steven Clay Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Samuel Austin Pointer and Ellie Grace Pointer.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mobbs will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with Rev. Tim Reynolds officiating.

The family of Mrs. Mobbs will receive family and friends on Friday, March 1, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Christopher Mobbs, Jr., Clay Mobbs, Jason Pointer, James Pointer, John Pointer and Carlisle Pointer.
