Whether it be funnel cakes, famous footlong hotdogs, Ferris wheels or flashing lights, something is in store for folks when they head to the 2024 edition of the Polk County Fair coming up in early September.
Mark those calendars for September 4 through September 8, 2024, when rides return and booths go up for the latest edition of the fair, hosted by the Exchange Club of Cedartown.
Some details for this year’s fair are still in the works. Signups are underway now for Livestock shows, Miss Polk County Fair and this year’s entertainment lineup.
Pricing on tickets for this year’s fair will also be announced in the coming days as well.
The Exchange Club of Cedartown hosts the Polk County Fair at the Fairgrounds near the intersection of the Highway 27 bypass and Highway 278, next door to the Det. Kristen Hearne Memorial Public Safety Complex. (Address for mapping purposes is 1604 Fairgrounds Road, Cedartown.)
As one of the largest fundraisers annually for the Exchange Club, they utilize funds gathered through entry fees and the sale of footlong hotdogs and other goodies at the Fair to help several organizations around Cedartown and Polk County, along with providing scholarships for local youth heading off to college.
Check back for more about the fair as it becomes available.
