Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month event provides women opportunity for self-pay exams at Cedartown hair salon

Those who want to ensure that they are cancer-free, or find it before it becomes a problem has the opportunity to do so on Friday, October 15 in Cedartown for an upcoming partnership that continues to provide positive outcomes for women in Polk County.
F.H.F Hair Design in Cedartown is once again partnering with Floyd Medical Center to bring their Mobile Mammography unit to the downtown area in the coming weeks, and those interested in getting exams from 2D or 3D Mammography equipment can sign up now for appointments.
Those interested in the event at 305 Main St., Cedartown can sign up for times between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. by calling Stephanie Radford at 678-901-0643.
The annual event hosted by owner Hal Floyd – inspired by the loss of a longtime friend Lisa Saucier Johnson – continues into 2021 after he started the partnership with Floyd Medical Center in 2019.
Insurance will cover the cost of those who sign up for an exam, or self-pay options are available for 2D and 3D Mammography exams. Those are $100 and $200 respectively.
Walk-ins will be taken for exams as well.
