Fairgrounds set to host 2021 fair from Sept. 8 through Sept. 12
You know summer is almost over when it is time to load up the car and head to the outskirts of Cedartown along the Highway 27 bypass for the annual Polk County Fair.
The Exchange Club of Cedartown is set to host the fair after having a 2020 hiatus starting on Wednesday, September 8, and continuing this year through Sunday, Sept. 12.

Members of the club were out at the fairgrounds in recent days cleaning up the area and touching up the paint around the facilities in preparation for the crowds of people set to come enjoy the return of the five days of fun and the organization’s largest fundraiser annually.
This year, the evening lineup includes the Miss Polk County Fair Pageant to kickoff the event in 2021 (signups are closed) along with livestock shows, Crosspoint City Church musicians, Scarlett Wool, Martin & Simone West, Unchained, Rock Root Revival, Bennie Gray & The Trailer Park Cowboys, the Clay Shiflett Band and Bianca Rodriguez.
A full schedule of upcoming events around the fair will be available later this week.
