Drugs, cash seized by Aragon Police in raid netting two arrests

The Aragon Police said in a press release that drugs and cash were seized when they conducted a raid with a search warrant in the middle of the night and took two people to jail.

Officers from the APD along with help from the Polk County Police found “a large quantity of suspected marijuana,” along with THC oil and a “large amount of cash” when they raided a Walnut Street residence on July 20 at 3:23 a.m., but didn’t provide details on the amount of cash or drugs specifically. The cash is suspected to be from the sale of the drugs found.

“The search warrant was secured after Aragon Police received information that illegal drugs were being sold out of this residence,” the release stated.

Though the release doesn’t provide names, Polk County Jail records from earlier in the week reveal the arrests of Macey Siera Pinkard, 25, and Dionty Marquez Brown, 34, both of a Walnut Street address in Aragon, on multiple charges.

Pinkard was released on a $10,000 bond after spending five days in jail and was charged with felonies for possession of Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances, felony possession of marijuana and cruelty to children in the second degree. She was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession and use of drug related objects.

Brown’s bond was denied and he remained in jail on the same felony and misdemeanor charges.
