Downtown Cedartown turned red for Valentine’s Day

The lights over the weekend that were added during Christmas and remain up year-round took on a definite hue representing the spirit of love in downtown Cedartown.

The new lights added to trees along Main Street during the holidays and will remain up to provide a changing light show depending on the holiday on the calendar turned red for Valentine’s Day over the weekend in celebration of love in 2021.

Next up for the lighting is something more suitable for the rest of winter, per Cedartown Performing Arts Center Director Oscar Guzman, who spearheaded the project in 2020.

For now, he said they’ll return to white for the rest of the month of February and heading into March, when then they’ll be changed again for another upcoming holiday.

St. Patrick’s Day will see the lighting turn green with envy to celebrate on Main Street.
