Starting on Monday, local businesses and organizations are encouraged to take part in the 2020 Downtown Cedartown Association’s annual Scarecrow contest and show their love of fall.

The fourth annual contest is open to all businesses, schools, churches, non-profit organizations, individuals/families who want to take part, and spots will be offered up by the DCA for those without a business immediately downtown to participate.

There’s money behind the contest as well for those who want to take part. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner with monetary prizes in the increments of $175, $150 and $100 are up for grabs this year for participants.

Scarecrows are to be placed between Monday, September 7th through Monday, September 21st, and are to remain on display through Friday, November 13th.
