Donations are being sought tomorrow afternoon for the Battle of the Bands Blood Drive being held at Cedartown High School in conjunction with the Bulldog Marching Band.

The first night of the blood drive was this evening, and returns on Tuesday, July 20 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Donors will be entered in a drawing for a Yeti Cooler and donors who give twice in 2021 are entered to win a Side-by-Side ATV.

Anyone who is interested is requested to eat a good meal prior, drink additional water and avoid any energy drinks before donating blood.

Those who want to donate blood must be 17 years of age before they can participate, weigh more than 110 pounds and be in good health. 16-year-old participants can donate, but have to get consent forms filled out by their parents on a one-time basis. You can give blood up to six times a year.

Blood Assurance donations go to patients in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina.
