During the week off of school for cleaning and planning, all students, face-to-face and distance learners, will have the opportunity to still receive meals from the Polk School District. All students will also be allowed to receive these meals during the off-days on Mondays, according to the latest posting on their plans adjusting to the COVID-19 situation.
The district announced online that on Monday, August 17 from 12 to 1 p.m., curbside meal distribution will be available to grab a week’s worth of food to take home for students to eat while off of school through the week.
Food will be picked up in a drive-thru format. It’ll include five breakfast and lunch meals for each youth.
After this coming Monday, there will be an opportunity to drive-thru for meal distribution at the beginning of the week while youth are out of school.
This is available to youth who are participating in both distance and in-person learning.
