Want a chance to show off artwork in downtown Cedartown to local residents and visitors alike? There’s an upcoming gallery show that’ll give artists that opportunity.

The 2021 Trail Head Art Gallery show is coming up, and a call is out now for entries to begin being accepted for consideration for the summer show that will come to a close in September.

Entries are being accepted through April 26 for the show that starts on May 15, and those interested can submit their information to https://cedartowngeorgia.gov/trail-head-art-gallery/ for consideration.

The gallery show is an open-air gallery of artwork on display, and entries being considered will include photos, digitally-converted drawings and paintings that can be printed onto thick, weatherproofed PVC board.

Artwork will be secured along the fence along the trail heading to the Welcome Center and Depot, and around 7,000 people pass by this spot annually – much of that during the late spring and summer when weather is warm enough to utilize the Silver Comet Trail.

The city is planning for a reception for those artists selected for the 2021 gallery – socially distanced – so long as there aren’t any issues that would prevent it ahead of time.
