Peek Park is set to host the 2021 Summer Concert Series put together by the City of Cedartown, and being sponsored by Peach State Ford.

The trio of monthly concert dates were announced on Facebook at the tail end of February, and Director of Tourism and Economic Development Aimee Madden said that efforts are underway to ensure that every detail is being taken to ensure the public can enjoy the concerts without any issues.

Mark those calendars now for June 5, July 10 and August 7 – all on Saturdays – with showtimes planned for 7 to 9 p.m. in the park.

The city will be making plans for COVID-19 social distancing requirements, and are additionally working to figure out a plan to still have food vendors in the park as they did during the 2019 concert series.

Madden said that additional details about the concert series will be forthcoming in the weeks and months ahead.

The Summer Concert Series is held for free in Peek Park in Cedartown after a move from downtown’s Holloway Park and the stage area in front of Polk County Courthouse No. 2. The series took a pause in 2020 amid the first months of the pandemic and a summer surge in cases.

For those wanting to enjoy a concert sooner, the city is hosting a show on April 8 and tickets are on sale now for limited capacity in the theater.
