Cindy Carol Barber Jordan, age 56, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Jordan was born on September 21, 1967 in Bainbridge, GA to her parents: Philip Keith Barber and Beverly Jean Piland Barber. She spent her early years in Bainbridge graduating from Bainbridge High School and later attended Valdosta State University.
She worked for Novacare while living in Valdosta and later moved to Paulding County. She has worked for the past 25 years for the Paulding County School District as a speech – language pathologist. Mrs. Jordan was a member of The Rockmart First Methodist Church.
Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and always trying new recipes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Keith Barber; grandparents: Sue and W.E. Piland and H.C. and Willa Barber; father-in-law, Jim and Bettie Jordan; mother-in-law, Ann Hewell Jordan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Franklin (Jody) Jordan to whom she married on September 11, 1993; son, Cleve Jordan; daughter and son -in-law, Anna Marie Kersey and Colton; granddaughter, Caroline Jean Kersey; mother, Beverly Jean Piland Barber; brother, Stacey Keith Barber; niece, Madeline Barber and nephew, Jackson Barber.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jordan will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rockmart First Methodist Church with Rev. Jeanette Dickens officiating. Interment will follow the service at Polk Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Craig Wilcox, Shane Dryden, Jackson Barber, Ty Wilcox, Mason Wilcox and Jacob Smith.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 11, 2023 from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM.
