Polk County’s own football hero was back out and about by visiting with some local residents who are big fans.

Northside Elementary students got a treat during Read Across America week as Cleveland Brown running back Nick Chubb stopped in with family and friends to sit and read with Mrs. Amanda Blake’s class in Cedartown on Thursday, March 6.

He was one of many local luminaries to take part in reading to youth at elementary school campuses across the district for Read Across America Week,

Chubb was joined by his sister Neidra, and Bulldog mascot King Chubb and Kriss York-Croft for the event. They read Dr. Seuss to the second graders at Northside.

Students got a sweet treat as well as Nick handed candy during his time in the classroom on Thursday as well.
