All invited to participate in Oct. 14 event

State Senator Jason Anavitarte invites all of his constituents in District 31 to an event on Monday, October 14, 2024 for a conversation about current issues important to individuals and families effecting Polk and Paulding county residents.

 Senator Anavitarte will be joined by special guest, Andrew Carter, Station Manager at WGAA radio in Cedartown. 

Carter, also a graduate of Cedartown High School, will be hosting the conversation, talking about issues such as safety for students and teachers in our schools, protecting our children in boys in girl’s sports, social media and bullying.

The conversation will cover other topics including how Georgia is the No.1 State to do business in for 11 years in a row, Agriculture the top industry in Georgia and its positive local impact for jobs for families and future generations in the workforce.

 “As the father of three daughters, who are students and play sports, their future as well as your families is my first priority in representing each of you in our district. It would be my honor to have each of you join us for this important conversation.”,said Senator Anavitarte.

 During the 2024 Legislative session, Senator Anavitarte was instrumental in the passage of legislation of the Protecting Georgia’s Children on Social Media Act and legislation to Ban Foreign Ownership of Georgia Agricultural Land prohibiting foreign adversaries from owning land near military bases, installations and airports.

He currently serves on the Georgia Senate Special Committee on the Protection of Women’s Sports. 

Sen. Anavitarte serves as Chair of the Senate Majority Caucus and Chair of the Georgia Legislative Hispanic Caucus and was recently honored as one of 2024 Georgia’s 50 most influential Latinos by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
