Winnie the Pooh did make an appearance eventually at this year’s Holloway Hunny Pot Festival at Big Spring Park in Cedartown, but that wasn’t the only reason the crowd came out to the park.

The start of fall on Saturday also saw arts and crafts vendors, food vendors and many more come out to celebrate the opening of a new season alongside Sterling Holloway and his legacy (including Winnie the Pooh, who is the inspiration for the festival.)

Along with the annual Pooh Stick race fundraiser (they are honey dippers dropped into the Big Spring for a race down the channel to the stone bridge) the event also had a historical tribute to Holloway, kept up by Donnie Jarrell with items from the legendary actor’s career and mementos from some of his most famous performances.
