The presence of Redmond Regional Medical Center will be limited in Polk County with the announcement of an office closure in Cedartown at year’s end.
Redmond’s Family Care Center in Cedartown on North Main Street next to the Dollar General Market is closing down as of December 31, according to a release from Redmond Regional Medical Center officials in Rome.
The reason cited for the closure is consolidation of resources across the Redmond network, per a short release on the status of Cedartown’s clinic.
“We are working with the three clinic employees impacted by this closure to place them in positions elsewhere within our network,” the release stated.
The closure won’t impact other services, like Redmond EMS and Redmond’s Physical Therapy office in Cedartown. They will remain working in the area and provide services to local patients.
Redmond EMS is the contracted ambulance service for the county at-large. Family Care Centers in east and west Rome are open for Cedartown patients to utilize following the closure of the local office.
