Some good news for a native living elsewhere and making their name known for doing good in a community.

Cedartown native Wade Martin, who has been a member of the Professional Golf Association since 1990, recent took another award for his service to youth in The Villages, Florida, where he is an instructor at The Villages Golf Academy.

He took the Youth Player Development Award from the North Florida’s PGA in January. It is just one of the latest times he’s been honored as such, with his win in 2018.

In 2019, Martin became a US Kids Top 50 Master Instructor.

A ceremony was held at the Golden Ocala Country Club in Ocala, Florida.
