One local club is back in action and making sure that local youth will at least know the meaning to words with a recent donation to elementary school youth.

The Cedartown Kiwanis Club is now back to having face-to-face but socially distanced meetings, and are also getting on top of an annual project to provide dictionaries to local youth in fifth grade classrooms within the Polk School District.

The club posted on their Facebook on Thursday that they had made donations to Cherokee Elementary and Young’s Grove Elementary schools, and are planning on making more.

The post also offered up special thanks to Michael Hunter, Patty Rogers, and Jeff Truitt for their help in the effort.
