The Cities of Cedartown and Rockmart are both moving their meeting dates to December 16 this month, so those who were planning to attend sessions this week should hold off for now.

The Cedartown City Commission and the Rockmart City Council both announced late last week they would be rescheduling meetings for next week, with agendas to be forthcoming.

Neither city provided a reason in the announcement for the date changes when they sent emails on Friday.

The two elected bodies did previously hold a joint session in late November for the purposes of holding a closed executive session to discuss legal matters.

The City of Cedartown did hold their regular work session at the start of the month. Rockmart’s work sessions are held ahead of their Council regular sessions on the day of the meeting, and is currently posted for 5:30 p.m. at City Hall ahead of the 7 p.m. meeting on December 16.
