If you’re looking for replacement cattle or even processed beef cuts, the Polk County Cattle Show Team is hosting an auction next month.

On Friday, February 4, the Cattle Show Team will have their end-of-season auction at the Rockmart High School Agriculture building. Viewing for the auction will begin at 5 PM, with sales to start at 6 PM.

In addition to the steers and heifers up for auction, processed beef quarters will also be offered. According to the team members, the heifers make great replacements and the steers all have processing dates.

Dinner options are available for anyone in attendance, as well as a cake auction for dessert.

All animals at the auction are either owned by the show team or team members. All proceeds from February’s event will go back to the team for next season’s show. Anyone with questions about the auction should contact Jeff Hawkins at 770-324-4301 for more information.
