Update as of 9 p.m.:
The driver and passenger inside of a Ford Focus were transported to an area hospital for further treatment after suffering injuries when a car flipped over, according to Polk County Police.
Chief Kenny Dodd reported this evening the two people in the car were taken by ambulance from the scene. Georgia State Patrol has arrived on the scene and taken over the investigation. (Edit, for clarity: No arrests were made in the wreck.)
While traffic was waiting to clear on Ridgewood Drive, a separate incident from the wreck occurred and a male suspect was taken into custody on cruelty to children charges as well.
Additional details about that incident will be available on Monday after a report is filed.

Officials have reported the wreck is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol.
