Polk County Rotarians are about to see a change in leadership in the coming months after a long, long stint in office for the current Club President.
Josh Brown of The Rockmart Podcast and Rome Radio Partners will be taking over leadership of the club later this year after longtime President Debbie Ross finally gets to take a break and pass the torch onto someone else.
Brown joined other members of 70 clubs from District 6900 for Rotary’s Peach State PETS (President-Elect Training Session) that happens annually in Atlanta.
Debbie Ross has the been the President of Rotary of Polk for the last four years and starting in July, Josh Brown (now President-Elect) will take the reigns as President. He’s excited about the opportunity to take over and set new goals for club growth and community involvement, but most of all was thankful for the long tenure Ross spent as President of the club, leading it through difficult times in recent years.
He added that he has a lot of ideas he hopes to implement in the months ahead.
“My goals for the club are simple: to grow it and engage our members by utilizing their strengths and passions,” he said. “We’ve got such a great opportunity with Rotary to be a huge community service asset to our county.”
