The Polk County Board of Education is back in business this week, with a light agenda ahead of them prior to the start of the school year.

Members are gathering at 6 p.m. in the board meeting room at the Central Office with an agenda that just has financial reports up for approval, and the likely need for an executive session for personnel discussions before approving a list ahead of the Aug. 3 return to school.

Those interested in attending can join the board at 612 S. College St., Cedartown this evening for the brief session.

The next round of meetings for the district is coming up on August 4 for the work session, and August 11 for the regular session, both scheduled for 6 p.m.
