At the end of February 2021, a 17-year-old was reported missing from home. She was last seen at her grandmother’s house, and no description was available of what she was wearing or what direction she was leaving home from.

Two years later, Laci Smith is now reported as being located by the Aragon Police Department.

Aragon Police noted on Facebook earlier today that they were able to track down Smith and she is safe, but that “No further information will be disclosed.”

Polk Today reached out to the Aragon Police to get further information from Capt. John Tortoso. He noted the department were able to track down Smith and she was able to verify her identity to their satisfaction.

However, now that she’s an adult at 19, she’s decided to keep her whereabouts to herself and per Tortoso didn’t wish to make any further contact with officials.

She was a minor when she went missing on February 28, 2021, so the case remained open until she was located by police.

The department did thank all those who were involved in being able to locate Smith and bring the missing person’s case to a conclusion with their Facebook post.
