City Hall will be closing today at lunch and reopening on Sept. 7, 2021, due to a deep cleaning needed for COVID according to city officials.

An employee has tested positive, but they weren’t at the council meeting on Wednesday evening. The employee is remaining at home, and a deep clean of the city hall will be taking place.

Those who need to make trash payments can visit CityofAragon.com, or call and leave a message at 770-684-6563 and their call will be returned as soon as possible.

City hall has undergone additional renovations in the past months with new keyless entry on exterior doors, a fresh coat of paint around the entire building, and more. Deep cleaning is one of the required measures taken for when a COVID-19 exposure occurs, and last year the city closed its doors during another such event at least twice before.
