Aragon’s annual event is coming up this fall to Pittman field, and there will be opportunities aplenty for fun for all ages in September.

The 48th annual Aragon BBQ is coming up the weekend of September 22 and 23 at Pittman Field off Highway 101. The event kicks off on Friday evening, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. with the opening of the annual Softball Tournament.

Aragon’s big event continues at 8 a.m. on September 23 with the Softball Tournament continuing through the rest of the day.

Vendors are set to open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with entertainment to follow through the rest of the day as well.

The BBQ is capped off annually by fireworks, and this year is no different. The show will begin after dark, and is being paid for by the City of Aragon.

During the July meeting, the council approved a cost of $4,000 for this year’s fireworks show.
