Mr. Anthony Lee Williams, age 61 of Rockmart, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022.
Mr. Williams was born October 7, 1960 in Summerville, GA, son of the late Hugh Williams and the late Juanita Robinson Williams. He was a machine operator having worked for Integrated Products; after that he worked in construction with many local companies and was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church of Aragon.
He enjoyed grilling, spending time with his family and friends and watching Georgia football. He would do anything for anyone and never fuss, complain or ask for anything in return.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Williams.
Survivors include his fiancé, Jennifer Strickland of Rockmart; daughter, Michelle Gatlin of Rome; son, Eric Williams and his wife Silver of Cedartown; step-son, Kaleb Slater of Rockmart; sister, Heather Maulding and her husband Toby of Aragon; two brothers, Stanley Williams of Rockmart and Terry Williams of Aragon; and six grandchildren, Morgan Brumbelow, Taylor Terry, Kenzie Droege, Brayleigh McClain, Payson Williams and Emma Hilliard.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Williams officiating. Interment service will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Scott Williams, Shay Moore, Toby Maulding, Kenzie Droege, Eric Williams and Jonathan Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Donnie Williams and Emerson Williams.
The family will receive friends at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Thursday prior to the service from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
