Motorists please note: A section of West Avenue, from College Street to Main Street, will be temporarily closed to thru traffic from Thursday, July 9 until Tuesday, July 14. Closure will start at 7 a.m. and end at 7 p.m.

Businesses along this closure route will remain accessible via vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Signage will be placed at the intersection of US 27 (Main Street) and East Avenue, US 27 (Main Street) and Ware Street and additional detour signage will be placed in the College Street area.

The closure will allow pressure washing of the historic, three-story downtown building located at 320 Main Street.
